It is our pleasure to announce the TEP is now represented by a student society at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London. The society aims to generate awareness of challenges faced by pupils in primary education in Uganda and help support our projects overseas by organising fundraising events and activities.

SOAS University of London is the only Higher Education institution in Europe specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. Combining language scholarship, disciplinary expertise and regional focus, SOAS hosts a diverse and dynamic student body. Over half the university's 5000+ students come from outside the UK, with a roughly equal split between undergraduates and postgraduates.
TEPSOC Secretary, Carlota Soumah Fernandez said:
"It's so exciting to be representing the TEP here in London, and to have set up the charity's 1st university society. We're looking forward to reaching out to Soasians with their unique critical perspectives, academic expertise and cultural knowledge and sharing the Talk Philosophy with them!"

It's been been a restless few months for the TEP. With the appointment of the partnership's first trustees and plans for future projects gaining momentum, we've made exciting progress toward achieving registered charity status. It's a privilege to welcome the TEP Society at SOAS into our ever evolving family, and wish them good luck for the coming months!
